LOFTS began in the dormitories of the University of Cincinnati, about 2 years ago. I had become good friends with the homie Paperwolf and we sent tracks back and forth. He proposed the name LOFTS as our official collab, and we made stuff that accentuated our musical talents; the same love for hip-hop, the need for something new, and the consistency that happens when we work together. I’m still pretty shocked at the way we not only met up and became friends, but also that our musical aspirations are so damn similar. We made this album to highlight that and showcase it.

LOFTS is being stoned to the point everything vibrates, on a misty spring day in waterproof clothing. LOFTS is crisp, clean, and streamlined. LOFTS is 1080p. LOFTS is removing the cellophane from a new pack of cigarettes. LOFTS is a swoosh in basketball. LOFTS is getting off of work and sitting down for the first time. LOFTS is flying over a large city at night. LOFTS is sleeping with no alarm clock. But at the same time, LOFTS is dense, and travels beyond the simple face value of a satisfying, harmonious moment. There’s more here than you may immediately feel.
